Transportul marfurilor periculoase este reglementat de ADR, RID, IMDG, ICAO-TI impreuna cu normele nationale de aplicare. Explozivii din clasa 1 necesita in mod normal un permis sau o aprobare separata din partea autoritatii competente. Inainte de expediere, confirmati rutele aprobate, restrictiile pentru tuneluri sau poduri, escortele, formalitatile de frontiera si acceptarea portului sau aeroportului.
