Cargo speciality
Ammunition and weapons logistics
Movement of ammunition, propellants and weapons components under the export control, transit and end-user requirements that apply to each leg.
In short
Ammunition moves under two regimes at once: the dangerous goods rules that govern how it travels, and the export control rules that govern whether it may travel at all. Both have to be satisfied before a booking means anything.
Two sets of rules, not one
The transport side is Class 1 — division, compatibility group, approved cargo containment, carrier acceptance, route restrictions. The control side is licensing: export authorisation at origin, import authorisation at destination, transit authorisation for every country in between, and end-user documentation that has to satisfy all of them.
A shipment that is compliant on one side and not the other does not move. We work both from the start.
What we arrange
- Container stuffing for eligible ocean shipments of small arms ammunition, cartridges, propellants and components
- Export, import and transit licence coordination
- End-user documentation support
- Sanctions and denied-party screening before booking
- Sealed, escorted movement where required
- Licensed storage between legs
Common questions
Do you handle government and defence contracts?
Yes. Defence and government consignments are a long-standing part of the business, subject to the same licensing and screening as any other controlled movement.
What if a licence is refused or expires mid-route?
The consignment stops and goes into licensed storage rather than continuing unlawfully. Planning for that possibility is part of building the lane.
Moving something that needs ammunition logistics?
Send the cargo, the two ends of the lane and the date. If we cannot move it ourselves we will tell you who can — same day.
