Chartered aircraft and vessels for consignments that scheduled services will not take, or cannot take in time.
In short
Charter is what happens when the cargo is legal, the route exists, and no scheduled operator will carry it — because of the class, the quantity, the dimensions or the date.
When charter is the answer
Quantities above what a scheduled service will accept. Divisions no passenger aircraft may carry and no freighter serves on the route. Oversized or indivisible units. Dates that scheduled capacity cannot meet. Consignments where exclusive use is a condition of the approval.
