Cargo speciality

Dangerous goods logistics

Regulated cargo across the UN classes — chemicals, gases, flammables, corrosives and toxics — by road, rail, sea and air.

A hansa express unit on the move

In short

Class 1 and Class 7 are the speciality, but the same lanes, licences and operators handle the rest of the UN classes, and most real consignments are mixed.

Across the classes

Gases, flammable liquids and solids, oxidising substances, toxic and infectious substances, corrosives and miscellaneous dangerous goods all travel under the same modal regimes and the same discipline: confirm cargo details first, then acceptance, then book.

Segregation is the part that catches people out. What may share a vehicle, a container or a hold is prescribed, and a mixed consignment that ignores it is rejected at the terminal rather than at the desk.

What we arrange

Moving something that needs other dangerous goods?

Send the cargo, the two ends of the lane and the date. If we cannot move it ourselves we will tell you who can — same day.
